Iddo van der Giessen (1995) has been playing the organ since the age of six when he was taught by his father Jaap van der Giessen and by Ronald de Jong, organist at the Oude Kerk in Zoetermeer. Since 2013 he has been studying organ at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Jos van der Kooy, organist at the Westerkerk in Amsterdam and city-organist in Haarlem Besides, Iddo studies Church Music at the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam. He attended masterclasses with among others Ludger Lohmann and Leo van Doeselaar.

In 2016 he graduated cum laude from the Leiden University College in The Hague. Here he studied Liberal Arts & Sciences: Global Challenges with a major in World Politics.

In 2017 Iddo performed all trio sonatas by Bach and organ sonatas by Mendelssohn in a series of six concerts in the Westerkerk in Amsterdam.

Since 2017 Iddo van der Giessen is cantor and organist at the Goede Herderkerk in Rotterdam Schiebroek, where he has a three-manual Van Leeuwen/Kramer organ at his disposal.
